the actual moment was quite anti-climatic, lacking the dramatic exits i played out in my head although still fulfilling in its own quiet way. almost a year and a half ago, i left a pretty cush and upwardly mobile job at a huge but socially responsible company, to come to this dysfunctional hell-hole (at that time, it disguised itself as a "growing education company"--ha!). it was a bit of a career risk for me and obviously, i didn't know what i was getting into. in the past nightmare-ish 17 months i've been condescended to, disregarded, screamed at, pushed to tears at least six times, overlooked, talked to like an idiot, talked to like a "girl" not a professional woman, ignored because i am a girl, and learned that the only way to succeed in this alternate reality of an organization is to be ultra-aggressive and confrontational (read: beome a crazy obnoxious bratty beeyatch). oh yea, its been good times.
so last week, i officially gave notice-- and now every day leading up to my last day (tbd, sometime in early august) is just a ride down "oh yea, make me!" lane. see ya suckas! it's been un-real.

Good job Wendy.. wait I think this is wendy. No one should ever stay in a bad job/bad relationship/bad town. Hopefully this will inspire others to leave unfortunate circumstances. Here's to you!
Silky, I think that erasing their files would do your heart good. Or perhaps allowing a 'virus' to corrupt them..Or better yet, keep the files, but make sure they have all the wrong formulas/info. Not that I've ever entertained thoughts of doing the same at work or anything like that...

yay! you finally quit that hellish job! but don't worry, hunbun... there is still time left for you to enact a great quitting scenario. it's best to first resign with dignity so that you can still hang around for a few months, but on your last day, you can do something super dramatic and feel good about it :)
"But if anybody else wants to come with me, this moment will be the ground floor of something real and fun and inspiring and true in this godforsaken business and we will do it together! Who's coming with me besides Flipper here?
Thank you Dorothy Boyd!"
